The Joshua Chamberlain Society (“JCS”) is a grass roots, federally tax exempt charity that was formed with the mission of providing long term support to veterans that sustained permanent combat injuries fighting the long war on terror for our nation. It also provides long term support to the children of local veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice in our service. The unique mission of JCS is that it adopts, in the truest meaning of that word, these veterans or the family of these deceased veterans, and commits to provide support for the long term - 5, 10, 20 years after the serviceman or woman has suffered grievous and permanent injuries, the veteran or his family will know that the citizens still honor and recognize their enormous sacrifice for our freedoms. As their injuries or death is permanent, so is the support that JCS provides. This support is multi-faceted and comes in the form of gifts, tuition assistance, monetary donations, and the like-anything that JCS identifies as something that will improve the quality of life for these heroic Americans.
Salute American Vodka is proud to be a part of the Price Of Freedom Gala is a military-inspired evening at a Marine Mess Night to benefit the Joshua Chamberlain Society’s efforts to provide aid for severely wounded military service members and the families of killed-in-action members of our military. The evening will honor current JCS heroes while raising funds that will allow to support additional heroes.

We Salute Austin Deuel, Commander of VfW Stanley A. Crews Post #3513 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Austin is a United States Marine Corps Combat artist that served in Vietnam and continues to serve our country by giving back as an artist and writer. One of his most honorable and well known works of art is the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in San Antonio, Texas. The three times life-size bronze sculpture is believed to be the largest sculpture of its type in the United States.

Salute American is now available in the following states: AZ, AR, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, MI, MO, NM, TX and WI. The suggested retail price for a 750ml bottle is $19.99, which may vary by market. Salute American Vodka is 80-proof and 40% alcohol by volume. Premium Vodka Brand Reaffirms Commitment to Donate $1 to Veterans Charities for Every 750ml Bottle Sold
Chicago, IL (May 1, 2014) – Better Brands Beverage Co., the parent company of Salute American Vodka, announced a national initiative geared to assist our nation’s veterans and military families who are in need of financial assistance. Through a one-year licensing agreement beginning today, the American-made premium vodka will donate $1 to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Foundation for every 750ml bottle sold.
Funds donated by Salute American will be earmarked for the VFW Unmet Needs program, which supports struggling veterans and their families. Salute American kicked off the initiative with an initial $10,000 donation and will be a presenting sponsor of the 115th VFW National Convention in St. Louis, Mo., from July 19-23, 2014.
“There are countless veterans who need some form of financial assistance,” said John Hamilton, VFW adjutant general. “Each purchase of Salute American vodka will assist us in fulfilling our mandate of service to our nation’s veterans, service members and their families. It’s a simple way for veterans and non-veterans to pay it forward.”

Disabled U.S. Veteran Goat Farmer Damion Brown of Brazil, Indiana, Receives Funds To Purchase Farm Equipment
Chicago, IL – (October 10, 2013) – Better Brands Beverage Co., which launched Salute American Vodka in Indiana this past May, today donated $5,400 to disabled U.S. Veteran Damion Brown, through the Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC). The FVC works with military veterans in 48 states to find healing and meaningful careers in agriculture. This donation will allow Mr. Brown, a farmer based in Brazil, Indiana, to purchase a large-scale hay trailer to help him more efficiently load and transport heavy bails of hay on his 20-acre farm that houses both milk and meat goats. Brown served five years as a Navy SeaBee handling mobile construction and another two years in the US Army. During this time, he sustained significant damage to his spine and knees, which causes him chronic pain, limits his physical abilities and requires him to wear prosthetic knee braces on both legs daily.
“Veterans like myself are not as able as we used to be,” said Brown. “This new equipment makes it possible to work through physical barriers.”
